We
bought this house, originally built in the 1870s, after
finding it abandoned since the 1950s. Its colorful history
includes a brothel for the better part of its existence. It is
a buffer between the residential and industrial area of east Lawrence.
We renovated the interior and built an addition extending toward
the alley in the early 90's and have recently returned to expand
the earlier addition for Robert and Molly Krause. Robert, chef
extraordinaire, serves dramatic dishes, from their new kitchen,
of complex flavors to a clientele of corporate and personal guests.
A garden room with a sod roof, detached from the main house, is
the focus for the festivities.
