THE FORUM AT MARVIN HALL
Rockhill and Associates was the architect of record for this Studio 804 project.
Located off historic Jayhawk Boulevard, The Forum is an addition to the historic School of Architecture building Marvin Hall on the University of Kansas campus. It addressed the School of Architecture and Design critical need for an auditorium for lecture courses and guest speakers, while also providing a separate breakout jury space for student reviews and presentations. The building utilizes emerging technologies, passive design strategies, and energy-efficient mechanical systems. Where The Forum attaches to Marvin hall has become a commons space that serves as a foyer as well as a lounge for the students and faculty in the architecture program.
