INTERATIONAL VILLAGE PARK (UNBUILT)

We were approached to design a new urban park development near Atlanta, Georgia that was to support healthy living. We worked on the overall site plan as well as the design of several buildings. Our work established the design vocabulary that was to be used throughout. It was to be a free public park with amenities such as a velodrome, restaurants, and hotel that would generate money to support the park. All of buildings were targeted to be LEED platinum. The project met substantial resistance in the community mostly based on NIMBY attitudes. It failed to get the needed approvals from the county commission.
