TERRACE HOUSE

Our interest in vernacular forms and culture is evident in the origins of this house. Grounded in the rudimentary structures of the plains Native Americans, this residence captures the essence of dwelling among the four elements; earth, air, water, and fire. Three strong horizontal forms surround and outdoor yard and are anchored to the earth and the sky by the vertical axis of a timber framed tower that houses the primary living area.
